AppliedAM is a publication platform for the additive manufacturing community. This page explains how the site works, what we do with your information, and what you agree to by using it. We’ve kept it plain and short on purpose.
Who We Are
AppliedAM (appliedam.net) is an independent publication covering additive manufacturing — research, industry applications, and practitioner case studies. We publish submitted work and original editorial content for the AM community.
Information We Collect
We keep this minimal by design.
When you contact or submit to us, you send us your name, email address, and whatever content you include in your message. We use that information only to respond to you and, if your submission is accepted, to publish your work.
When you visit the site, standard server logs may record your IP address and browser type. We don’t use tracking cookies, and we don’t run advertising networks or behavioural analytics.
Google Fonts — our site loads fonts (Space Grotesk, Inter) from Google’s servers. This means your browser makes a request to Google when you visit. We have no control over what Google does with that data; their privacy policy applies.
We don’t sell, share, or trade your information with anyone.
Submissions & Your Content
When you submit work to AppliedAM — whether through /submit/ or /write-for-us/ — here’s what you’re agreeing to:
- You own your work. Submitting to us doesn’t transfer your copyright. You keep full ownership of everything you submit.
- You’re giving us permission to publish it. By submitting, you grant AppliedAM a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, publish, and promote your work on this site and in connection with AppliedAM’s presence.
- You can publish it elsewhere. We don’t claim exclusivity. You’re free to post your work on your own site, in a journal, or anywhere else.
- Your work is yours to submit. By sending it to us, you’re confirming you have the right to share it - it’s your original work, or you have permission from whoever owns it.
If you ever want your content removed, contact us at appliedam.publish@gmail.com and we’ll handle it promptly.
Using This Site
A few basic rules for using AppliedAM:
- The content on this site is for information and professional reference. It’s not engineering advice - always apply your own judgment and consult qualified professionals for your specific situation.
- Don’t scrape, copy, or republish our editorial content without permission.
- Links to external sites are provided for reference. We’re not responsible for what’s on them.
Changes to This Page
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data or the terms of submission, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Nothing here is designed to surprise you.
